Let the Whines begin ...

The people of Canada will be glued to their TV sets, watching, waiting in anticipation of Canada's turn to welcome and invite the world to our country in 2010," said Furlong.

yup they sure will ...wondering just how much more their gonna have to pay ..

It was said by a better man than myself that the 2010 Olympics would bankrupt this Province... he very well may be right ,,, But the main payees will be Vancouver and Victoria with land prices unfordable to sky-rocketing taxes ,, But ,, they wanted them ... the Games that is .. well 66% of people in Vancouver voted to have them.. the rest of us didn't have a say ...

The next four years are going to be real interesting ... I would take it Gordan Campbell and the B.C. Lieberals will be long forgotten by then. And the Government of the day will be scrabbling to make ends meet with the cost over runs of the 2010 games ... who ever they may be ... On thing for sure ..Rural B.C. is gonna give Vancouver the finger .. on helping with the costs.. Can't blame them really ... the Vancouver 2010's executive with the 2010 games have made it very clear that this is a Vancouver/Whistler event .. not a British Columbia/Canada event. there isn't a area in this Province you go to outside the Lower Mainland that thinks that the 2010 Games will benefit them ... But .. Vancouver citizens will pay there is no question there ... and they will pay heavily ...
